Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on CC so forgive me if I make some mistakes about posting and etc. College acceptance letters have come and I got in and plan to go to Harvey Mudd. The thing is, now that I have gotten in I feel like all my classes are unnecessary and irrelevant. Basically I have senioritis and was wondering if there are any ways of "curing" or at least mitigating the effects. As of right now my grades are looking as good or slightly better than 1st semester (all A's & 1B) but I'm concerned about 4th quarter which just started this week. In addition I need to pass my ap tests. So I am just looking for general advice of any sort to help me stay focused. Thanks in advance.

I know how you feel. I’m an IB student, accepted to college, but with IB exams up ahead. Personally, I remind myself of all that is at stake if I don’t buckle down and focus. If I don’t pass those exams, I won’t get college credit which can save me money. Give yourself some time to do nothing and relax. Don’t overload yourself with stress and studying. But for the times you set aside for studying and getting work done, do it diligently. You haven’t worked hard for 4 years to give up now!

Studying for AP Exams come before getting good grades, at least in my opinion. So long as you aren’t bombing your classes, you can afford to live with a little stress than you normally function under.
