I'm a rising senior from a somewhat competitive public high school with a couple of questions. Should I take Spanish 5 regular or regular Environmental Science? Which is more appealing to moderately selective colleges like Stonehill and Saint Anselm's? And one other question, should I drop my gov and politics honors class, which I am really into, or AP psych? As of now I have 1 AP and 3 honors. Do I need another AP to get into a school like Holy Cross? Or is it possible to take an additional course at a local community college that shows that I am challenging myself?

I'd take Spanish and Gov. Environmental Science is commonly viewed as a joke class, and I see no reason to take psychology if you're not into it. Remember that you can always self study APs. I'm sure you could easily do that for Gov since you're taking a class on it. Psychology is a very popular self study AP. CCers as well as some people I know managed to get a 5 from reading the Barron's prep book anywhere from a week to a day before the test.

Thsnkd, iLikefood. Great idea!

apologies for that typo

Do you guys think that a class at a community college would show that i am trying to challenge myself?

Yes, but community college classes generally aren't viewed as rigorous. How about competitions?

I do some pretty serious MUNing and have won some honorable mentions and best delegaion at the UN USA, which is a pretty big conference. Maybe that will help?
