4th year

Is it possible to transfer into a school when its your senior year? If not/or if its only on a super low acceptance rate basis, would it be possible if you then indicated that you were planning on doing 4.5 or 5 years (double major)...making you somewhat the equivalent of a "junior"?

I am a second year at a UC right now, but want to transfer eventually. I applied to CAL/LA/SD but due to some reasons that I don't think anybody really cares to know about, I didn't have a very strong application academically and didn't get in. With that said, I am considering appealing, but was also wondering about the alternative of applying again this fall. Also, I just switched into a completely opposite major from what I was doing the past year and a half, so I still have a substantial amount of upper division and GE classes to finish.

Anybody care to share some insight?

nah you're screwed

do your best at the appeal--it's your last shot

can you see the application?

https://calnet.berkeley.edu/

click "Test Calnet ID" then enter your calnet id and a fake password... what error message do you get?

can anyone else attest to lostincode's statement?

i checked the CAL site and it said that my decision will be posted by 4/30. I am pretty sure I won't get into CAL as I know how much emphasis they put on academics. I also went to the calnet site..using my application id as the login, and the error message I got was there is no calnet id _____. If you need further information ...etc.

I will be appealing to LA for sure. I have decent/good (IMO) extracurriculurs and work experience that I will be trying to emphasize. Should I include my resume and letters of rec with my appeal?

Anybody have any tips on the appeal? Success stories? At this point all I know is that I'm going to try to refrain from using too many excuses in explaining what I didn't do and focus on what was good, but perhaps my approach is wrong.

jmint: you have to try and access the housing application first (it lists your calnet id); you can't use your application id (i'm assuming you meant the one from your uc application?)

wrong id.

go check again

hahaha thanks, but I think I'll just wait until tonight as it is rapidly approaching

bump on my other questions though?
