5 colleges to apply to?

Okay so here's the deal: I've already sent applications to 2 different colleges, but there are about 7 or 8 remaining on my list. I want to reduce the number of colleges on this list and only apply to about 5 more colleges, but I can't make up my mind. Here's the list of colleges I have in mind:

-Boston College
-Cornell
-NYU
-Rice
-SMU
-UPenn
-Vanderbilt
-UNC at Chapel Hill (out-of-state)

I don't know how to narrow down this list to about 5 colleges. Location isn't too important to me, and size isn't a big factor either. I guess the biggest thing for me is academics, which in my case, I plan on majoring in Biology or Chemistry or Pre-Pharm. Price is the next biggest thing, but all of those colleges, with the exception of UNC, are expensive private universities -_-

If you like Division 1 sports and high school spirit, apply to BC.
If you like neo-Gothic architecture, apply to Cornell.
If you care the most about the quality of undergraduate teaching, apply to Rice.
If you don’t care about not having a campus, and would like to be in the most exciting place on earth, apply to NYU.
If you are politically conservative, apply to SMU.
Can’t think of specific things for Penn, because it is really well rounded.
If you want to have a cool music scene near by (not just country), apply to Vanderbilt.
If you like basketball and pork barbecue, apply to UNC

All are good choices. Good luck.

Since academics is the most important thing to you:
-Boston College: APPLY! Good safety school.
-Cornell: APPLY! Because it’s Ivy League. The TOP Ivy League school for premed students.
-NYU: NO! Stern gives you amazing internship/job opportunities in NYC but since you want to do bio/chem, then NYU is not for you.
-Rice: APPLY! Same reason as BC.
-SMU: NO! Not well known in the east coast.
-UPenn:APPLY! For the same reason as Cornell
-Vanderbilt: NO! Very preppy student body
-UNC at Chapel Hill: NO! Unless you’re in state.
