I went to the best private school in our town to hire an ACT tutor. They told me what book to buy. A whole year of great one on one sessions. Then this week I find out that tutor has brought in two seniors for tutoring for act. I know tutor is charging $50 an hour for the seniors. Seniors drive themselves, I know tutor is getting paid $150 for the hour I reserved and paid $50 an hour for the last year. Tutor nev asked if I minded if tutor invited two seniors to our session.
Is it just me or am I being ripped off! Tutor never asked me in advance if I would mind if two seniors joined us for our act practice.

I would speak up. That isn’t fair at all.

I would speak up and ask them for a full refund and go somewhere else. Honestly, if you were told you would be getting a one-on-one session, that’s completely unfair and ridiculous.

If you paid for 1:1, then that’s what you should be getting. If you are ok with it, ask if you could pay 25 or 30/hour instead of 50.
