5yr ILR / Johnson MBA Program

I'm an ILR student interested in the 5 year MBA program at Cornell.

I know it's an option for ILR students, but I also know that it requires an admissions process? If so, how hard is this admissions process (do we only go against ILR'ies)? What requirements to they need? And also, is the 5 year MBA program available to other majors as well?

ok nevermind lol .....i already found the answer. sry bout it

wht is the answer?

From Cornell site:

"Five Year MBA Program

Offered in conjunction with the Johnson Graduate School of Management, this program is open to undergraduates who began their studies at Cornell as freshmen. The numbers offered admission each year are small; only a few people from ILR have been accepted annually.

The program assumes that all ILR required and elective courses will be completed by the end of the Junior year, so the students admitted can do core courses in the business school in the fourth year and complete the remainder of the MBA requirements in the fifth year. Tuition for the fourth year is based on undergraduate rates. In the fifth year, students pay the graduate tuition of the Johnson School.

Interested students should plan to meet with staff in the Johnson School Admissions Office, plan to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), and complete application materials in the junior year."

I’ll bump this up. I’m currently a freshman ILRie intrigued by this program. How difficult is it to be accepted (does the low amount of students reflect difficulty or obscurity)? Thanks in advance for any input…

i heard it’s pretty much impossible to get into that program, they only accept a handful of students a year for that program at best.

In addition, getting MBA straight out of undergrad is a pretty freakin terrible idea. MBA with no work experience before it is pretty much useless, and you will have a very tough time competing with your MBA classmates who have 5+ years of work experience competing for same jobs as you.

Go Cornell -> I-banking / Strategy Consulting -> M7 MBA -> profit
