There was a very interesting segment on ESPNs OUTSIDE THE LINES this morning dealing with 7 on 7 football and the use of recruiting agents and potential NCAA investigations. seems like this will be the next area of recruiting scandals. I must admit I am not that familiar with the organized 7 on 7 teams, being from the northeast and the mother of a lineman. Most our school ever did was passing league.. 8 weeks between conference schools and was voluntarily. A lot of people seem to be investing lots of money $250K to buy a team. also Keyshawn Johnson is involved.. never a good sign if you ask me.. but my opinion.. It was an interesting piece and should be watched by all parents of football players if only to broaden their knowledge... a piece of recruiting advice noted by one of the commentators.... they believe with todays technology.. paid recruiting services are not necessary.. if the player is good... coaches will find him... It really is a shame that all these people are looking to make money off these kids... One commentator also noted that .4%...yes only .4% of all high school seniors will play on a college football scholarship.
