7 year dental program (Upenn-Upenn and Lehigh-Upenn)

Hi there!

Couple years ago I decided to be a dentist (Orthodontist to be specific). I recently found out the Upenn-Upenn and Lehigh-Upenn accelerated dentist program. I was researching about it and then one person told me that I had to be top 10% of my class in order to even be CONSIDERED for admissions. Obv I know that the higher ur rank the better, but I go to one of the top best private high schools in the US and most of us (I think 40%? something like that) end up going to prestigious universities. So I'm kinda confused b/c our graduating class is only about 100 and to be the top 10 is uhhhhhh EXTREMELY difficult. But my question do I HAVE TO BE in the top 10% to even be considered for this accelerated program?

sorry but yes
the upenn upenn program accepted literally 7 people last year. 7.

so yes.

but at the same time, it’s not the end of the world. just work hard during undergrad if you don’t get in. do research, shadow, volunteer, etc.

I know that Upenn-Upenn is out of my reach… but what about Lehigh-Upenn? Is it the same difficulty to get in as Upenn-Upenn???

Wait…. the top 10% isn’t a requirement right? Like its just something that helps u? Becuz my older sis got into Harvard couple years ago and her GPA and SAT scores weren’t even close to the 25th percentile….
