7-year Medical Program

I was just notified that I’ve been selected to interview at BU for the 7-year accelerated medical program. Does this mean I’ve been accepted to the regular BU undergrad, or is it like you can only get into the medical program or rejected from BU period?

you can prob do both...the 7 year is just a special program that helps you get done faster

I believe you're accepted into the 7year program.
Congrats!

Did anyone else get their interview notification yet?!

Lol nope, I'm just a finalist... I assume you are as well? This means we go and interview at BU and from there they choose who to accept into the 7-year program.

Unfortunetely, I haven't gotten any notification yet. =/
Was it by email or mail?
I read last year's forums and the interview was pretty much an acceptance.

wow, are you serious? Interview= acceptance? Lol maybe it's just the caliber of College Confidential kids, but I was notified by phone last Thursday.

notified already?? they mustve not notified me yet since im not gonna get accepted.

They interview about 100 kids and accept approx. 50 (of those 100 interviewed) into the program to get a group of 25-30.

where did you get these stats? A 50% admit rate sounds pretty good lol.

50% of those who are interviewed. This was a few years ago, so it could have changed. Basically, the point was to emphasize that the interview is critical to the 7- year MD selection process, and that simply being invited for an interview is by no means an assured acceptance to the program.

i havent yet heard from them... does it mean i was rejected from the program??

Bump this. I applied to the 7-year MD program and haven't heard anything from it. Does this imply that I am not qualified?

so they make 100 kids fly to their school from all over the country but only accept 50 of them? 50% acceptance is stoll good, but that is a lot of plane tickets

one of my friends just heard the day before yesterday... maybe theyre still contacting applicants?
