800 old quant score == 167 new scale

<p>So I took the old GRE, and received 800 quant. However, I just learned that this is only equivalent to 167 on the new scale. I understand that the newer exam makes it possible to grade at finer level, but how will grad schools look at this? </p>

<p>is 800 on older scale inferior to 170, 169, and 168 on the new scale? It doesn't make sense to be even making that kind of comparison, but let me hear your opinions.</p>
