9 more days and i'm thinking i wont get in...

i applied to bucknell ED, to a 5 year BS Engineering/BA Liberal Arts program (that, unlike their BS Eng/BA Management, is not more competitive). with a little more than a week to go, i'm getting really nervous.

GPA- 3.4ish UW, always taken honors/AP classes where available
24/210 in hard rural ct public school... no chance of grade inflation =/
9th grade: B+s
10th grade: B/B-s (medical issue addressed in recs and essays, but thats no excuse...)
11th grade: A/A-s
12th grade: not sent, but B+ average in more challenging classes

Standardized tests (my favorite part! haha) CR800 M660 W730
Literature 750 US History 790 AP USH 5
National Merit Commended, sent PSAT scores to them back in the spring

Main ECs/Volunteer/Work
15 hours a week pharmacy technician
Band , music librarian (lame but tons of work), will continue
varsity cross country
track manager
kiddie band camp volunteer 40 hrs
100 hours at hospital volunteer
black belt in martial art
foreign exchange club
diversity sister school program

OK essay, spent lots of time on the supplements, showed how i "fit"
GREAT teacher recs

I hope being a girl in engineering will help me but i think my GPA is too low, i'm not an interesting enough person, etc. Another girl from my school applied ED too, but worse class rank/SATs than me...
Anyone want to confirm my suspicions or give me good news?

I think you should get in even though your gpa is below average if you have taken a hard course load.

thats what the admissions officer told me... but i'm still freaking out!
anyone else?

bump bump bump

if the admission officer told you that, i think youd be fine

he told me they look more at how challenging the curriculum was, the grades being not as important. but still... 10th grade was pretty bad...

On the negative side, your gpa is a bit low and 660 math score is on the low side for engineering. But it's probably near Bucknell's overall math average.

On the plus side, you have 800 CR. I'm gonna guess there aren't that many 800 CRs at Bucknell (or at ANY school...no knock on BU, it's a great school). You addressed the 10th grade grades. I believe a medical issue absolutely CAN be an excuse, or at least an explanation, and it's not like you got C's and D's. Even with that you're close to top 10%. Female in engineering is a boost.

My thought is you're in; actually, a strong candidate. Good luck!
