^Nope because when you read books that young everyone does no matter what year it is. They are still reading the same books in 2011 as I did in 1998

But you can remember when you read them. I’m sure some people still watch these tv shows.

I guess you are right…the books I remember are BFG and Running Out of Time (first book where the ending wasn’t perfectly happy). ALSO I remember Magic Tree House! Those were my favorite books!

I remember a lot of Magic Tree House in elementary school. Chronicles of Narnia the summer before middle school (totally didn’t pick up on the Christian messages). After that, I suppose would be more adolescence than childhood.

When I went into Middle school I was behind everyone (reading level wise) they didn’t let me read the books I wanted (because they were under me) so I stopped reading for fun lol

Well, now you can read what you want, if that would make a difference. Though I suppose habits take years to form.

Exactly! They broke me of a good one now I am trying to get it back, but it is hard. Esp since I am still behind reading level wise…

There’s nothing saying you have to read on your grade’s “reading level”. Read books you enjoy, whatever they might be. The idea is to read, not to read complex things.

Yeah true…hmm lol now I feel like picking up the magic tree house set! lmao

Reading died for me when they made me read Shakespeare at 12.

I LOVE Shakespeare! Reading it is so cool and hate watching the plays…

^^^I miss Magic Tree House!

I don’t remember a lot of them, though I particularly remember one about the Library of Alexandria. I think they were getting magic library cards and had to take scrolls before they burned.

And while moving last month, I uncovered one about the American Revolution. I remember getting it at a book fair, but not reading it. I think there are some more somewhere from my younger brother. Like a polar bear (cover) one.

Legends of the Hidden Temple!

I remember one about dolphins at sunset or something. And one about a sabretooth tiger. That thing was beast.

Right, I remember those, too.

Legends of the Hidden Temple FTW!!! I LOVED wait no LOVE that show so much!!! GO SLIVER SNAKES!!!

guys, let us not forget the genius that was the magic school bus.

YES!!! I remember that!

Magic School Bus owns so hard. I STILL want Ms. Frizzle as a teacher…
