<p>Truman State University is underrated because of its location in a small town and because of its small enrollment. It’s in a town (Kirksville, Missouri) with a little less than 20,000, while TSU has only about 6,000 students, very small for a public school. It still however, is very high quality, most consider it to be the best public school in Missouri.</p>

<p>Interesting how so many folks think that schools located outside of the Northeast are underrated. Probably has a lot to do with the Ivy-centricity of the NY-based media that perpetuates a strong public image for the Ivies while ignoring the quality that exists elsewhere.</p>
