__________ College/University Is Underrated Because ______________ . . .

Fill in the blanks . . .

Syracuse University is underrated because of its fairly high acceptance rate comparably to other peer schools.

Vanderbilt is underrated because of its lack of national prestige/recognition, despite being on par with Duke/Rice/Emory.

Kansas State University and the University of Kansas are underrated because . . . well, because they’re in Kansas.

RPI is underrated because no one can spell or pronounce “Rensselaer” correctly.

Brown is underrated because it prides itself in having absolutely no requirements. Putting education in the hands of college students… You’re just asking for it…

Didn’t realize Vandy was so awesome. Nice…

i agree with the kansas state one. not so much with vandy and brown.

uva is underrated because people just don’t want to believe it’s good. i’m not really sure why this is

W&M because of the lack of weighting given to quality of undergraduate education and research.

Vanderbilt is underrated because its rating is much too low.

SUNY Geneseo is underrated because it is overshadowed by SUNY Binghamton.

Harvard is underrated because it’s just that awesome.

UCSD is underrated because it’s only 50 years old.

USC is underrated because people can’t get past its reputation from 30 years ago as a great school for B+ students. Its student stats are now higher than UCLA or Berkeley and its as selective as either but doesn’t seem to get the same respect from people who can’t realize that its become an incredible school. My daughter chose USC over Berkeley and she’s ecstatic with the school. The opportunity to double major or double minor means so many more opportunities. They offered more financial aid than (Berkeley offered one $3,500 scholarship) so the costs was actually much cheaper going to USC than Berkeley for a top, private school experience.

USC is underrated because they cheat at sports.

lol jk

Rosie, a university does not become great by being selective in undergraduate admissions. That would be high school/prep school mentality. A university is great because of world-renowned research.

Minnesota is underrated because it is overshadowed by Wisconsin. lol

USC is underrated because they let Lil Romeo in.

UPenn is underrated because so many forget it’s an ivy.

Rice is underrated because it’s in Texas, doesn’t have top grad programs, and is simply awesome.

WUSTL is underrated (no, I don’t mean in USNWR) because it’s in Missouri.
