A 38th AP?

What subject would you like to have added?

I would choose Calculus III.

I would agree to that. However, think about how many people will be taking that during high school and that would be the reason why Calc III is not offered as an AP.

^That is certainly true. Calculus III would probably have less overall popularity than the Physics C courses simply because very few students reach that level of mathematics during high school.

I consider a few to be worthy candidates:

[ul] []Anatomy and Physiology
[] Philosophy
[] History of Science
[] Folklore and Mythology
[] Multivariable Calculus (Calculus III)
[] Organic Chemistry [/ul]

Something to do with movies…World Cinema or something. AP Philosophy would be cool as well

Organic Chemistry! For sure.

And splitting up Bio into Macro and Micro would be nice. It’s too broad as-is.

Obligatory Basket Weaving.

There is IB Film Studies, AP Film Studies? I doubt Calculus III will make it in there. It’s almost impossible for most students to even do AP Calculus BC in their junior years.

an AP Geography would be orgasmic, but that doesn’t cover a large spectrum.

A course in logic and proofs.

Uhh, it would have been nice to keep the language and literature exams around for a little while. You know, Italian Language, French Literature, German Literature, and German Literature.

I think we already have a wide range of APs.

The introduction of Calc III would probably involve changes in the existing math curriculums. Maybe rearranging topics so that the material can be taught in two years, or rolling in the Geometry curriculum into some Algebra course so kids can get to that level by their senior year.

Back to the original question, I would really like to see AP Korean (would give me an advantage  ) but there’s a pretty minuscule chance of that. A subject related to the basics of law might be interesting. (AP Legal Studies?) Also, Economic Geography plus a more general science subject. (Earth/Space, etc)

AP Philosophy, AP Legal Studies, AP… Bible studies? lool

AP Physics C: Thermodynamics/Fluids and Waves(you know those other topics in Physics B but not covered in Physics C)
AP Differential Equations (my friend told me that you could totally do this without Calc III)
AP Architecture
those other foreign languages
AP Asian History
AP Earth Science
AP Organic Chemistry

yeah, that’s all the AP courses I can think that can take place of those lower division courses.

AP Bible studies? That will never happen, Collegeboard is smart enough to not bring religion into their education system.

AP Asian history! xD

MultiVar Calc for sure

AP anatomy would be a cool class i think

This is only because the curriculum is so badly structured. Taking a full year for both Calc AB and BC is ridiculous.

AP Discrete Math =D
