Whats the point of SATII Math 2?
I got a 5 on Calc BC two years ago!

How would colleges look at a 5 on Calc BC but a 740 on Math 2?
What would their reaction be?

BC Calc exam measures your knowledge of college Calculus I and II. It’s not meant to differentiate people (no pun intended), so ~45% of test takers get a ‘5’ on it. Math 2 covers math through precalculus, but it graded on a finer scale, so it can help colleges compare people.

as much as they should notice this, and that you should be getting 800 pretty easily, they probably won’t since they don’t count those kind of minuet details against you.

Sorry but we don’t use the area of a triangle very much in differential equations.

true, but a basic foundation of math level II type stuff is generally needed for BC

the OP probably just screwed up

I am the OP, and yes I think I screwed up.

I’m retaking soon but I don’t think I’ll be able to get 800 for sure.

The core geometric facts (areas, perimeters, pythagorean triples, equations of lines, etc.) are very important in college physics. Those textbook exercise writers really like to stretch your geometric knowledge. So yeah, those facts are important >.>
