I'm currently a second year here at UF. I'm pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I would like to know if it's absolutely necessary to have to get my CPA within the five years span (3/2 program or 4/1 program). I originally planned on graduating with a Bachelor's and working for some time to gain experience before I came back and completed my masters and so on. For anyone who as graduated or more advanced in the degree, can you give me advice if what I had originally thought of doing is fine. I hadn't planned on a master's quite yet due to my family's financial situation, but now I'm unsure what to do. Would there be jobs available for only a Bachelor's degree? Also, would an internship be beneficial? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

In4Answer.

CPA eligibility is crucial if you want to work in public accounting. Internships are also very important. You can use the extra summer before your fifth year for another internship.

What other options are there aside from public accounting?

There’s private accounting.
