A beautiful...lonely, campus?

To offer a different perspective on this topic, I would consider Wellesley a seperated campus, not necessarily a lonely campus. Part of the reason Wellesley seems lonely is that it is very difficult and time consuming to get of campus. It takes 40min-1hour to get into boston by either bus or train, and there is no real place in the ville where students hang out. We buy something at CVS, grab a coffee at Starbucks and walk back to campus.

I can see how many prospies may have gotten the sense that Wellesley is a lonely place and I will not deny that sometimes it is. Most people spend a lot of time studying and you have to work to have a social life off campus. But, I will say that I have cultivated many close friendships. I am currently finishing my first year and possibly transferring next semester. I say possibly because my friends are the reason I want to stay. In this all female environment you will create close friendships that will last a lifetime and you will soon understand the bond between all Wellesley students past and present.

Wellesley is really what you make it to be. If you don’t see yourself going out and exploring, then you might not like Wellesley. Sometimes off campus activities won’t come to you, you have to find it. I personally like it that way, my college experience is up to me and I have more control over what I want it to be like.
