A bit nervous with a week left to go...

<p>I got into UCSB so far, but I haven't heard from any others yet. Presumably, letters will be arriving within the next week or so. I've applied to UCLA, UCB, UCSD, and UCI. My essays are really strong and answer the prompts fully. I'm willing to send essays to read if you want. Thanks a lot!</p>

<p>If I were an admissions officer, I would actually be intruiged by the fact that you have a perfect CR score and a not-so-perfect Math score...I think that, do to the fact that you evade the stereotypical ideas of asians, you might have better chances than you think (you took OPERA?!?)...</p>

<p>Haha, yeah. My love of reading helped out my CR score a lot. It was fun. I wrote about it in my open-ended essay. </p>

<p>I took opera because of the teacher. Neil Anstead is a legend at our school. He helped set up the Humanities Magnet, and the Magnet program in the U.S. He's an amazing teacher. I've never had a teacher so passionate about teaching. Mr. Anstead is a true Renaissance Man.</p>
