A bunch of random questions.

Is Texas tech school of medicine good or better than UT Southwestern and Baylor or is it worse? If I go to texas tech school of med does that jepordize my residency opportunities because the med school is ranked low and would that ruin my job chances?

Also in undergrad we get BS, and in med school we get MD. But when do I get MS? Do I need an MS? What do I need MS for?

What is a doctors path?
4 years undergrad, 4 years med school, 4-7 years residency, 2 years specialization (what degree is that) and the a job? What is a fellowship?

Thanks

No it does not matter what med school you go to. Even the worst med schools have 99% of their graduates finding a job.

4 years hs 4 years med school 3 years residency and you can either practice family medicine or specialize.

Also, an MS is a master of science. Don’t get one if you’re going to apply for an MD, it will be a waste of time.

And no, Texas tech is not better if you are concerned with research. You will have plenty of research opportunities at all three though.
