A C on the Mid-Year Report

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>How badly will a C affect your chances on a mid year report for more competitive schools? I pray this doesn't happen.. but I have a slight chance of getting a C in Calculus for the mid year. I got all A's last year.. what do you guys think? Also, my school is on a more competitive grading scale (7 point grading scale), so do you think this will factor in at all? I am taking teh most rigorous courses in my school and have been all through high school.. if that matters.</p>

Emory, UVA (instate), Johns Hopkins, Emory, Vanderbilt, UPenn, Cornell</p>

<p>Like you, I was deferred from Human Ecology early decision. When they called and asked for my current grades, I also had a C in Calc. I think that's why I was deferred...just a hunch.</p>

<p>if you have extenuating circumstances however will 1 or 2 C's affect you?</p>
