You look like you’ve got a very good chance of getting in—I think—you just might want to get a better score on the SAT/ACT.

I agree with Pseudorandom… attack the SAT’s and you’ve got it… from the sound of it we are pretty similar applicants I was admitted and offered a chance to enroll in Honors college but from what I have heard I decided not to. Although I would do independent research on that before making that decison… don’t take it just from me.

What could I do to improve my SAT/ACT score? I feel like I keep getting the same score even through practice tests…

Like the others have said, you have a very good chance of getting in. You just need to improve your SAT/ACT scores.

I suggest you go out and buy the Princeton Review SATs study book. Personally, it helped improve my math scores dramatically as well as teaching me some simple techniques to get a better overall score.

I think your goal should be to get about 100 points higher on each of the SAT categories so you can get ~1900. Remember that UF takes into account the highest of all of your test scores in each category, so if you take the test a few more times and get improvements in each section, you’re set.

I think you’re well rounded enough to get in even with these SAT scores, but an increase in them will seal the deal.

Thank you all for your responses, and Pseudorandom, is it possible to increase each subject category by 100 points? I would love to get a 1900…but books don’t seem to help. -__-"

What trouble are you having with them? Is it the material on the test, or is the format of the test?

Not so much the material, maybe the format?

Do you have trouble finishing the sections?

Yes, I guess the way I feel pressured with time & always falling for “sucker answers,” what are good tips for the Reading section because that’s my lowest, should I read the entire passage or skim due to time?

SAT is really going to kill you. Just curious what did you get on your ap exams. I know you dont have the jr yet. I know this is kind of petty but try to get the unwieghted gpa up a little. Everyone has good gpas that applies and youll want that to pick up the slack for the sat not draw attention to it.

If your low on time on the sat then the act wont help at all. How many do you actually guess and get wrong and how many do you skip. This might be the key.

I got 4’s on my AP Exams for Sophomore year.
And it’s not time, it’s more like falling for the common answers and such, well, I would say so.
