A College to Match my prospective Career

Hello All.

I am a junior interested in a school with an excellent communications program or one that would help me pursue a business career in the entertainment industry. Does anyone know of any? I am also considering school outside of the US as well.
Here are my stats:
4.0 GPA Uw
5.0 w
36 ACT
300+ Comm. Service Hours
Good EC's(shows strong commitment)
Pacific Islander

Look at USC, UCLA, NYU, Northwestern and Brown. Loyola Marymount and Emerson College are other good options. And note that internships can be very important in gaining a good entry-level position in this area, so you could go anywhere as long as you are able to get an appropriate internship or two.

I would check out BC for a good safety. They have an excellent internship program, which is CRITICAL to success in that field

Emerson for Communications Please.

University of Missouri is another option.

Syracuse would be another good back up option. Lots of alumni involved with the entertainment industry. I'd say USC or Northwestern should probably be at the top of your list.

thanks for everyone's help. I will seriously consider many of those schools. celebrian, by BC do you mean Boston College?

Northwestern!!!

sorry, yes I did mean that. I guess I translate boston college=bc in my head and accidently wrote that.

Could I also major in International Relations to get into the career I desire? If so, which schools have the best programs?

anyone know?

brown has a strong alumni base in the entertainment industry but doesn't have much of a business program and no communications program

Syracuse has a lot of alum in the entertainment field. You'd be a shoo-in for admission and probably would also get merit aid.

LA and NYC colleges also would be good places to go because of the excellent networking.
