Hi fellow CCers,

I'm currently prepping for the SAT, but I also want to take the ACT.
Does anyone know of a comprehensive guide to the ACT like silverturtle's?
I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, how do you guys study for the ACT? And for the science section?
I'm currently going through Direct hits and Barron's for the SAT.
Does these cover the ACT as well?

Vocab is insignificant on the ACT.

Just a random thought, but what makes me feel confident going into the test is knowing that every answer I need can easily be found in the reading for Science and Reading. Unlike the SAT, the ACT does not demand “critical thinking” skills, the answers are direct and simple.

Time is the biggest problem, just keep doing practice tests for reading and science.

Silver’s guide will help for the English section of the ACT. For math, I’m not sure since I don’t study for that.

Thanks WongTongTong, but isn’t the ACT math section more comprehensive than the SAT’s?

^Yes, but it’s really knowledge based. Think of it as an Algebra 2 test with a few (easy) precalc problems
