Im an undergrad at Pace University in NYC. Im sure none of you have even heard of it. ( Trying to transfer to NYU) Im getting my B.B.A. in Finance, going to pursue I-banking. After I work 2 years as an analyst then go to Grad school, do I continue working for the firm during school or what? Also, how long does it take to get a MBA? Last question is, if Im coming from Pace University (Saying Im not able to transfer) will Ivy Leagues (Columbia is where I really want to go) accept me, seeing a came from a 'no-name' university? My credentials will be outstanding, its just the name of the college im coming from that concerns me going to Ivy schools.

In my opinion your undergraduate school really doesnt matter when applying. But I have a question about Pace. Do a lot of I banks recruit there? How do you like it?

Yes a lot do recruit there, its known for business in NYC. Its in lower Manhattan where a lot of I-banks are headquartered. There are many opportunities at Pace. I like it, but Id rather go to NYU. Its a nice school to get in NYC if NYU or Columbia wont let accept you.

By the way, does anyone know the answers to my questions? Please?

You can do a part-time MBA which can take 3 to 4 years, which is what you'd probably do if you were employed full-time while in school. MBA's can take as little as 18 months or less if you hit it hard and take time off from working to complete it. Your GPA, GMAT score, and work credentials will be taken into consideration for b-school...and the two schools you are shooting for are pretty dang competetive, so be prepared.

Thank you :)
