So I haven't posted in a long time. This week has been nerve-wracking. And now it is over (almost, still waiting to hear from Amherst). I finally got into all my schools (Dartmouth, Williams, Harvard, Princeton, Smith, Mt. Holyoke, Middlebury, Skidmore), including to Yale after being deferred.

Thank you to all the people who helped! You were all wonderful. Thank you the parents who read over my long essays. Thanks to all the parents for encouragement. Thanks to everyone for giving me a reality check, and calling me out on my attitude after being deferred EA. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Good luck to everyone still waiting. For those who didn't get in, I think I may hurt you by trying to offer comfort, but there really are still colleges dying to have you. And congratulations to those who did get in. See you next year, wherever that is.

I feel so indebted to this internet forum for some reason. Maybe next year someone will read my thread and derive some hope from it. Thanks again and again to all the people who helped me out here.

Wow! What an embarassment of riches! Congratulations. And it's so nice to read great news after such a dismal original post! Thanks for updating us.

Hi all, I've made my decision. Actually, my decision was made for me by the super generous package Harvard gave me. Four years, 0 dollars spent. Yale's didn't come close. I can't believe after all those months of obsessing over Yale, I'm going somewhere else. Thanks everyone again for everything.
