hey guys.. i have a dilemma and i would like to seek some advice to seasoned veterans..

basically i've been taking the most rigorous sched. possible but i go to a small private school so i can only start taking AP's starting junior year

so i'll be taking 2 ap's next year (USH and Bio).. and theoretically 4-5 senior year

but i was talking to this lady whos daughter recently graduated and she said senior year ap scores don't go on your college app.. so she said take another ap junior year

i am taking pre-calc honors next year so she was like why don't you skip that one and take AP calc junior year.. but the thing is i'm pretty much booked this summer doing a lot of stuff (productive stuff) so i don't have time to sign up for a pre-calc course..

and to my knowledge my school needs to approve of the course and i can't just take a placement test

then my mom was like self-study an AP .. i've never done this (obviously) so i don't know how hard it is but i know myself diligent enough that i can probably attempt at this but.. the question is can i get a 4 or a 5?

also there's sort of this unspoken rule in my school where people usually don't accelerate in courses for some reason.. even kids that tested to go to USAMO are just taking pre-calc next year.. and i don't want to rub the bad side of my guidance counselor or teachers.. b/c i'll eventually have to get recs from them haha

i've been looking at ap chem as a possibility to self-study b/c i took chem last year.. an honors course but the teacher said kids in the past have taken the honors chem course and take the ap exam with some prep and have gotten 4's and 5's..

sooo i have no clue what i should do.. any suggestions? thanks in advance and sorry for the long post
