Today, I came to the florist to order a corsage for my prom next Saturday. At the end, the woman asked me "Do you also want a boutonniere ?" Actually, I know that it's the tradition to get one. However, will my prom date order it for me or I will do it myself ?

I don't want to ask my prom date about whether or not she's going to get one for me. It will be so weird.

Yeah, haha a guy got my stepsister a corsage, and she didn't get him a boutonniere. I suggest no matter how awkward it is, to just ask her if she's getting you one. Text her or something. It'll take off the pressure. It's better to sound like an idiot now than to look like an idiot later.

There was at least one date in my group where the girl forgot her end of the bargain after he went out of his way to get her a very pretty corsage. I always ask to be sure. Some dates even buy them together to get a matching set.

Do you guys thinks a corsage with 3 roses and some baby whatever(I don't know how to spell it, the little white flowers one) will be enough or too simple ?

You could always tell her, "If you want my boutonniere to match your corsage, you should buy it at [name of flower shop] and tell them my name so they can use the same type of flowers"

try to make sure you make her feel really special...
remember to tell her she looks great, and try not to be TOO TOO TOO nervous (though i always think it's really cute when the guy is a little nervous, haha)

other than that, just try to have fun and try to keep the conversation going :)

don't worry, i'm sure it will be an awesome night
