a final bout with the SAT

okay, i'm a high school senior, applied to Georgetown, Vassar, Swarthmore and George Washington, plus a few local schools (i'm from texas.)

i think i should take the sat one more time. (january 22 testing date; colleges will take scores up to january, right?)

problem-which one should i take?

i didn't do as well on the SAT I as i should have (800V, 680M, 690W) is a 2170, but because i got a perfect score on writing on the psat, and i'm good at grammar, i'm tempted to say i should be getting at least a 750 in writing. and surely a 2230 (assuming the 750W) looks much better than a 2170?

so do i take that one, OR the sat ii's? my big question: how much are sub-par sat ii's going to hurt me? i got a 750 english lit, which is okay, i suppose. but then i got a 690 US history (but a 4 on the AP exam) and an (eeek) 660 on the French reading.

so i guess my question is, is it more important to score around or a little better than 60 points higher on the sat I exam, or that i do better on my sat ii's (i'll probably take the exact same three tests again)? are my sat ii's so bad that they're hurting me more than anything else?

thanks in advance for any and all help.

pwease help? i don't know exactly how much emphasis colleges place on sat subject tests. does anyone know and can help me?

ur fine with ur subject tests, none of them are bad, despite the fact that they seem unsatisfactory here on cc.

so i'm correct in thinking that my sat ii scores, while certainly nothing to be proud of, themselves aren't going to hold me back from the colleges i want to attend?

if ur going to be paranoid about it, i would advise you to take it.
