I don’t consider NMH to be “in the middle of nowhere”. It is actually about 1/2 hour north of Springfield, MA and only about 15 from Greenfield, MA, 1/2 hour from Keene, NH. Not major cities, but large enough. I suppose if you are from a large urban area, you might consider it isolated. Also…it looks like you could probably drive over and visit (your location, if listed correctly, is “Western Mass”), or you could check out the website. I think this would assure you it is not a “hippie school” or a “commune of nerds”. Like most NE Prep schools, it is an excellent school which attract a diverse student body. The students, as in most of the other NE prep schools, are fairly conservative in their mode of dress, but liberal in thought. Like other prep schools, it is known for committed and caring teachers, and excellent arts and athletics programs, in addition to rigorous academics.</p>

<p>WOAH since when is it half an hour from Spfld!? i live quite close to spfld area(not saying where) but it takes ATLEAST if you’re like speeding like 45 mins to get to tht general area. and greenfield is…</p>

<p>also u wouldnt happen to know how far(in mins/distance) brattleboro vt is from it. they seem to have some decent stores there</p>

<p>and hello spfld 3/4 largest city in NE its not that small(sorry theres my pride again lol)</p>

<p>Sorry, Rad, just a guestimate. I guess 30 min. to Holyoke and Ingleside mall. You are right 45 min. to Springfield. Brattleboro is 15 minutes. I didn’t mean to imply that Springfield wasn’t a city, I agree… it is! When people on here talk “city” though, they seem to mean Boston or NYC. You should have pride…western MA is beautiful!</p>
