The UC Application asks me to list all of my a-g courses. Where should I list my IB Theory of Knowledge course? I can't find a category that fits it.

Use http://doorways.ucop.edu to determine what each course is counted as at your high school.

I checked two California high schools with IB programs and both had it listed under the g category (elective) as a history / social science elective.

I checked the TOK class for our school and it is listed under the “G” requirements. However, despite being an IB class, it does not have the gold star designating for extra “honors” credit.

Speaking of it not being IB, exactly what qualifies for “IB”? The UCLA FAQ says that “[IB] Honors status only applies to higher level IB courses.”

I’m assuming it means that HL courses count as IB. What about SL courses?

Try the http://doorways.ucop.edu list for your high school.

It couldn’t find my school, for some reason. I think this is because I am out-of-state.

Whether IB courses are marked as honors does not seem to be completely consistent between the two high schools I found on that web site (Berkeley High and Laguna Creek High). You can try looking for other schools with IB courses to see if there appears to be any consensus for the IB courses are you trying to determine honors status for.
