<p>i am looking for an essay topic to blow admissions officers away with some originality. i am guessing they read a lot of essays that sound very similar.</p>
<p>i was thinking about writing about the time i went sailing when the remnants of hurricane katrina hit my area. winds were incredible and it put my ten year sailing experience to the test. </p>
<p>does that sound like a good basis? or do they need to see how some event changed your life or your personality?</p>
