A good GPA for accounting jobs?

I'm currently going into my 2nd year college but close to being a junior status already. My GPA has been floating in the 3.3 ~ 3.4. I doubt it will go any higher than 3.5~3.6 since I've already taken most of the easy pre-reqs. My brother was a student in my college and also same major and he told me that the major classes will be a lot harder and very difficult to receive A's. I already messed up big time by not getting the A's in my easy classes.

So the bottomline is that I don't think I will be able to achieve a GPA higher than 3.6 MAX even if I try my hardest. Is that a good GPA for my resume?

What other ways can I use to enhance my resume? Do I really have to join the frats? I'm planning to join the Accounting Society club maybe in the mid of next year. Do I have to hold a position in a club to look good in my resume or can becoming a member do just fine?

Thanks for reading my long post! :)

The Big 4 cutoff gpa is generally 3.3. Try your best, a 3.4 still is NOT a bad GPA although. Enhance it by work experience/leadership experience and networking. In my opinion, frats are generally irrelevant to finding an internship/job. Accounting societies, student organizations, charitable work would be helpful (in that order).

Work experience and networking are going to be the most important for you to complement your GPA.
