Hey, I have just started a blog on my experiences as a premed at Mizzou. Its pretty sparse right now, but I have big plans for it in the future. I will be making at least 1 post a week, so be sure to check back every now and then.
The url is
http://premedlight.blogspot.com/

Hey, I just updated the look of the blog so check it out

Organic Chemistry, Biology 101, and Chemistry 101, all with labs and all during the same year.

Something tells me I shouldn't follow your advice, and that perhaps your pre-med blog won't last long.

isn't chem 101 a prereq for orgo? I know that's the case in my school.

At my school, the general chemistry sequence consists of 3 courses. Chem 2 is the prereq for organic chemistry so there have been cases of people taking chem 3 concurrently with orgo 1. Chem 3 actually covers a lot of nuclear chemistry and I am considering not even taking it, though I need at least 8hours of chemistry, not including organic so my options are limit. Furthermore, in the blog i specifically stated that that to take all of those classes at once is not a good idea, however I have been forced for various reasons to go that route.

Hey, I changed the look the blog once again, so take a look at it. Please give me some feedback on the layout. Also, do you know of any other good premed/medical school blogs?

Layout...hmm...can you set off the text blocks more? Maybe add a background to the page, and then put the text in boxes with a blank background...the contrast would make it easier to read and more interesting.

Yea, I'll do that. I'm trying to find some way to change the layout so that I could set up a page for only videos.

What premed or medically related blogs do you all read?

You all might want to check out surgeonsblog as well. The real world medical profession is a lot different then I had ever imagined. I have a link on my blog.

Another good blog is blog.bioethics.net
It doesn't necessarily deal with the medical profession from a hands on point of view like a few others due, it does tackle the ethicality of procedures and treatments as well as the medical field at large.

For anyone wanting to know the real truth about medical school check out
http://www.medschoolhell.com/
and
http://pandabearmd.com/

they speak truthfully about what really goes on in the medical communities. A bit of warning though, they might talk you out of becoming an MD.

hey nice blog man! hahah I just stumbled on this thread;it's funny because i actually just created my first blog a few hours ago, and it's pretty cool we're both talking about premed stuff. I'm wondering how to publicize my blog a bit more (it's www.premedage.blogspot.com check it out sometime if you get the chance ) i only have one post atm but I'm gonna build it up.

Not premed but interesting:
