A hold on my records and account

Hi,

I tried to make a payment online via BruinBill and it didn't go through successfully. Now, UCLA has placed a hold on my records, grades, and ability to enroll. I'd like this hold to be lifted as quickly as possible because my second pass for enrollment is on Monday, December 2nd.

I'd attempt to make the payment online again, but I'd prefer not to take any chances. If I make the payment in-person at Murphy Hall, will they lift the hold immediately? Or will I have to go through some BS waiting period? If I don't have the hold lifted by Monday, I'm not sure I'll get the classes I want, or even the ones I need.

On MyUCLA under Academics you can check who initiated the hold. If it was indeed the Financial Aid Office I would probably go there first thing on Monday, the people there can tell you more about why a hold was placed and they should have the ability to lift it immediately.

It was student accounting in Murphy Hall. I looked them up and they deal with Bruinbill and other financial stuff. They’re not the financial aid office, but what they deal with is closely related.

I know the hold was placed because of the returned e-check. I’m just concerned about getting the hold lifted immediately when I go there on Monday. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it,

I once had a hold placed on my account (I don’t remember exactly the reason) but I went to Murphy Hall and they were able to resolve the issue and remove it right away, so I would think it’d be similar for you. Good luck

That’s definitely good news! Thanks again.
