Any current students/alums who remember their lottery numbers want to share them? Based on anecdotal evidence, it seems that your lottery number tends to hang around the number you were given as a rising soph.

For example: My 3 numbers were ~800, ~900, and ~800 with a range of about 150 from the average.

I know the lottery is supposed to be randomly generated but given that the numbers will range from 1-3000 it seems like a deviance of 150 from your first number is waaaay too low for "random" to apply.

Yeah, I have a thought: I personally wrote the algorithm used to generate lottery numbers, I'm happy to share it with you, there is zero history of past years' results involved in the calculation, and any correlation or pattern you might identify is strictly imagined and the result of your brain seeking to find a correlation or pattern where there is none.

Don't say it like it's common knowledge. I actually would be interested in seeing it, want to PM it to me if you know you have it saved somewhere?

I posted it on the lottery board a few years ago, i think in spring 06. it's really not complicated. i'll dig it up later if i can find my old dev environment.
