A Knowledge-less Wannabe Lawyer

Hello evry1. I am a high school senior hoping to go to penn state university. I want to be a lawyer, but i have absolutely no knowledge of the degrees or anything. I know that there are admissions tests, but that is about as far as my knowledge goes. I want to know all of this before i go to undergrad school so i can get started with advising and a plan for my future. So please help me if you can and answer my questions.

Is law school considered to be graduate school?

Are there any other admissions tests that have to be taken besides the LSAT?

What degrees can be earned in law school and what are the prerequisites for these degrees? What are the purposes, or differences between these degrees?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Professional school precisely.

LSAT is the sole test.

Juris Doctorate degree and Master of Law (JD and LL.M respectively). JD takes about three years to complete whereas LLM would take an additional year. You could also pursue a joint degree such as a JD/MBA, JD/MA, JD/MS, etc.

(3) There's also another advanced degree, the J.S.D (doctor of juridical science), which is sort of a Ph.D equivalent for law, requiring a dissertation. However, this is really geared for academia, not for lawyers who wish to practice. Also, we might note that the LL.M isn't that beneficial for lawyers from the U.S., but is often earned by lawyers trained in other countries when they come to practice in the US.
