I need to write a letter to the admissioners to convince them that I should get in. Any suggestions, with CONCRETE examples?

oh by the way, I am waitlisted.

say that if you get in you will definitely attend

Attempt to schedule a meeting with the Dean of Admissions. You won't get one but do meet with the person to whom you are referred. Meet with that person as soon as possible. Take a portfolio of your accomplishments, etc. Dress to impress. Explain how you fit into JHU and what you feel you can do for JHU. Explain how you admire JHU's values and traditions. Don't sound desperate, sound positive. If you don't need financial aid mention that. Follow up with a thank you note saying how much you appreciate the person taking time to meet with you. Include a picture of you wearing a JHU shirt but don't mention the fact that you are wearing a JHU shirt. Tell your high school counselor, etc. how much you enjoyed meeting the admissions person. As the counselor to call that admissions person to express how much you enjoyed meeting the admissions person.

The bottom line is that you need to go far enough to show you are sincere, but not so far as to over do it. Sometimes that is a difficult line to identify. It often depends on the other people you are dealing with.
