1) If I wanted to send a letter expressing my desire to attend JHU where exactly would I sent it to? I'm would guess that the letter should go to the undergraduate admissions office. But I just wanted to check.

2) When sending the letter what should I write on it to let them know that this is referring to a waitlist applicant? I mean, I cant exactly write 'wow I really want to go here. thanks.' and then my name. Can I?

3) If I wanted my GC to call on my behalf, would I just have her call the undergrad admissions office?

Your guidance counselor calling on your behalf. Sounds like she wants you to go more than you.Write a personal letter detailing your desire to come of the waitlist and how the shool has opportunities unmatched by other colleges I have been accepted to. Let them know that although you are on the waitlist you are very much interested in attending this school. Hope this helps!!

no i think its good for your guidance counselor to call- mine suggested calling on my behalf for my waitlisted school (cornell)

but you may also want to call them, tell ur name, and ask questions about the waitlist- explain how its ur top choice etc, and pretty much thats all you can do, and only hope theres space.

Send any waitlist updates to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions - same address you sent your application materials. Attention: Application Coordinator.

Just include your name, birth date, and a subject line that reads "Waitlist Update."

Don't have your guidance counselor call. Have him/her write an updated counselor letter of recommendation. We request that all information be submitting in writing - phone calls are not helpful. We do not have time to field calls from or about waitlist students.
