A levels no science.

I'm doing the british A levels and I don't have any science since we get to chose our ''focus'' and most people go for either all sciences or all social sciences.
I am a social science guy history,sociology,economics.

Considering I do get good SAT scores would it hinder my chances to get into uni due to not having done any science for a while.(grade 8)

These are the unis I'm interested in.

I will major in something related to business.

I got into UCLA and UCSD and did the A Levels with a focus on History, Economics, Literature… I did science in 10th grade though. But I think it should not be a problem. (I’m majoring in something business related as well) I’m not sure about the rest but I know of other people who didn’t do A Level Math/Science and got into Cornell. So I think it all depends on how well you do in your chosen subjects and as long as you fulfill their requirements, you’ll be fine. (:

you should be fine. as long as you’re not majoring in something science- related, I doubt that they will hold it against you. they know how the UK system works.

Dont you have to do sciences until 10th grade?

yes but then that’s pretty much it.

The transcript in US goes all the way from 9th 12th, including those high school level courses kids may have taken in middle school (lot of kids cover a foreign language class, one or two science classes, one to three Math classes in middle school). So keeping track of all your classes from 6th grade will come in handy because a lot of the schools have basic requirements. If you have nt fulfilled through high school and get out of them by showing an AP or IB, or A/O levels, you may be forced to take them (unless you go to Brown where there is no core). So you may be forced to take some science and math classes in college to make for lack of them in high school but if you are doing well in A levels, you should get admitted.

I don’t mind taking them in college.

Thanks for the tips.
