A few days ago, my intervewer who hasn't spoken to me since January emailed me and said that he'd like my contact info so he could "keep in touch." Could this be construed as a likely, or does Chicago not do that?

i don't think its a likely since those are supposed to come directly from the admissions office. that said, you must have made a great impression on your interviewer.

I doubt it means anything. Interviewers are not agents of the admissions office.

I really think it's a standard interview line. Both of my interviewers (Chicago and Brown) told me to e-mail them w/ questions before and after the decision.
Yeah, it's a standard courtesy line. You can never read their minds.

Was it an alumni interviewer or an admissions counselor?

It was an alumni interviewer....that's why I didn't think too much of it; but he interviewed my in January, and just contacted me again last week, which is why I'm wondering.

I guess at this time of the year, I'm just jumping on every minutia as a sign one way or the other....it probably means nothing either way.

I think interviewers like the find out whether their interviewees got in. That might be why he is contacting you now, so you will tell him if you are accepted.

guyz, uchicago sent me these application forms and asked me to answer a couple of essays n stuff

this means i'm in rite

I am not sure. If you have a copy of the application they mention whether they got the essays from accepted students or just applicants, I don't remember.

Brine's just pulling your leg...he got in EA.

He's just mocking that type of post.
