Hi everyone,
seeing that i can't afford personal counseling, i need your guys' oppinion :-)

I'm a high school senior currently taking:

AP English Lit
AP Stats
AP Econ/Gov
P.E.
Speech
Academic decathelon

(for reference i've taken

AP Euro, AP Chem, AP Psych, AP calc, AP us, ap language)

but this year, I'm also enrolling as a full-time (community) college student:

this fall semester i'm taking:
English: Children's Literature
Philosophy: Intro
Religion: Intro to mythology
Math: Linear Algebra

and next spring semester i'm taking:
Math: Multivariable and Diff Eq.
and probably some literature classes here and there

plus i work too

this is my dillema: i feel too bogged down, and i need help. Is it better to not take an AP class (for example dropping ap english to a regular english) or is it better to just drop the college class; i personally think that the college class would be more respected since it's a "college" class....what's your guy's oppinion?

where was this thread? i Want to see it. well to an extent it is. Community college is not about busy work..work..work.. as APs are about. But in community college, as my intsructor told me, it's the quality that matters not the quantity.

haha i'll try to find it... but i've read over 100 threads since i logged on a couple hours ago... still trying to procrastinate the notes i have to do... :) i'll post it if i find it...

I agree you have top much on your plate, but colleges want to know if you have challenged yourself by taking the toughest courses offered at your HS. I would keep the AP's over Childrens LIt and Mythology if you need to make some choices. Above all you need to aim for your best possible GPA in your HS courses- better to have fewer and have a better gpa than take too many courses and have your grades suffer.

I understand. But wouldn't take under heavy consideration that i'm taking these after-school classes? I mean i am going to send my college transcript too. Personally, i love taking college classes b/c the environment is so mature and academic/professional. I'm not so worried about the GPA factor (b/c colleges won't be seeing my senior GPA and take it into the admission factor...besides, i have a rather good gpa and rank standing : 5 out of 889) i'm worried that colleges are going to think that i didn't take enough AP...
