<p>my stats are:</p>

<p>GPA-3.25 UW, 3.8 W my grades have a very significant pattern of improvement (freshman-2.85, soph-3.2, junior-3.6, senior-maintaining A's and B's)</p>

<p>SATI-1410 (740 math, 670 verbal)</p>

<p>rank-185/387 (i go to a very prestigious IB high school where we graduate about 150 IB kids anually and we were ranked #2 by newsweek)</p>

<p>Im in the IB Program</p>

<p>Im taking the most rigorous courseload my schedule will allow with block scheduling [3 AP's (calc ab, physics b, eng lit)... 5 IB's (physics, math, english, history of the americas, spanish) along with Tok II...i literally have no room for electives in my schedule]</p>

<p>EC-dance-10 years with awards, young life, campaigners, developed curriculum for health classes for drug awareness along with rehabilitaion center, created a toy drive (3 years, seasonal)</p>

<p>jobs- smoothie place for 8 months (22 hr/week), quit... another smoothie place currently</p>

<p>recs from old boss and math teacher (math is my strong point)</p>

<p>essays-probably wont help or hinder</p>

<p>I think the deadline for UC schools has passed, if i'm not mistaken it was Nov. 30th</p>

<p>just telling u man..UC's are really over but if u want to know, i would say u wer good for UC Irvine..anyway, man, ur upward grade will look good</p>

<p>thanks, ive never heard of irvine. i was thinking santa barbara, but i guess since the deadline has passed it is moot.</p>

<p>I say you have a good shot. Be sure they know that you go to such a prestigious school so your Class Rank is lower than the norm. </p>
