mine was only ever “forwarded”… since like feb. it never changed and i havent heard anything. im so sad

it was ‘being reviewed’ for the longest time ever. then 2 days ago it switched to ‘forwarded’ and today its back to ‘being reviewed’. also an extra ‘documents’ link appears at the bottom.

the enrollment link worked for me too.

congrats!! also (sorry, mine just switched to forwarded so im curious) when did the links start working for you?

thanks! links started working yesterday

Do you think I still have a chance if I have been forwarded for 11 days? It appears that lots of Marshall applicants were just forwarded in the last few days and then changed back to review. Meanwhile, I am still forwarded…

Hahaha! I SHOULD have pull with admissions! We know they read college confidential, so I should walk in the admissions office and announce *“I am alamemom /I, and you WILL be admitting the following list of applicants:” *As many times as I have told everyone here to be nice to admissions and financial aid, you would think they could do me that one little favor.

Hi werty1992!
Everyone who applied has a “chance!” (I’ll bet you’re sick of hearing that one…) But seriously, if you’ve seen many of my posts, you know that I am the anti-status campaigner. I have been telling these kids for almost three months that the statuses just cause stress and often don’t mean anything except to those involved in the internal workings of USC admissions - and there are several College Confidential-ites who wish they had listened to alamemom way back before they became addicted to checking their status 73,000 times per day!

ahahahahahahaha alamemom i love u

this thread made me laugh (:

alamemom, I think your screen name should be changed to “afabmom.” (Do you kids know how much time you spend on CC??)

And I think it’s cute when they call you “alamemommy.”

At any rate, there’s nothing lame about your infinite wisdom and your devotion to this forum. So thank you, thank you, thank you for your almost 2,000 posts!!

And, you will add me to the list of Trojan hopefuls that you are submitting to USC for acceptance, right? (The word is out you know…)

Golly no! I am finishing a Master’s and they think I am studying! ;)

As the mother of two current teens and a future teen, I am resigned to being lame for the foreseeable future. I have told them (many) times that college confidential-ites don’t think I am lame, but they just roll their eyes. Sigh.

Oh, and you are ALL on my list!!!

Im on forwarded!!! :o

for a bit i was on being reviewed and now ( i dont know for how long, but for sure the past week or so) im on forwarded this is my current status (the forwarded status)
Your application has been forwarded for committee review.
what does this mean??? do i have a chance? my stats are NOT typicall usc material so getting in would be out of this world…anyone have any insight on this ?

alamemom-

I’m in agreeance that the statuses themselves don’t really mean anything. However, I don’t think its too farfetched that a CHANGE in status could be pretty significant. Afterall, its no coincedence that as of recently people who have gone from “fall grades”/“being reviewed” —> “forwarded”----> “being reviewed” have been able to access the enrollment link, and shortly after receive their acceptance packages.

While I’m sure there have been cases where people have been accepted with few or no status changes at all, I cannot convince myself that being “forwarded” for so long is a good thing (especially after having so many status changes before that). In other words, there have been two “waves” sent out since I’ve been at forwarded, and I received nothing. Only leads me to believe that my rejection letter is just waiting to get mailed out…

The statuses certainly mean “something,” but people who have asked admissions about them have been told that the admissions rep who happens to be looking at the app picks a status as they send it on to the next stop - so it can vary by school or region or date of application or by who took a sick day… The other BIG caution I have for all of you is that as it gets down to the last week of March, the status that might up until now have been considered a “good” status might all along really have been a “we mailed your decision” status and the answer may be “yes” or it may be “no” at this point.

I know for CERTAIN that *some *will be accepted with no status changes because it has happened this year already, and it has happened the last two years. So I am not saying that having no status change is a good thing, I am just saying that there is still a sliver of hope.

Good luck!
