I am a raising junior student, my first term GPA was 3.0 unweighed, I am taking 3APs, 1 honor, I can try my best to raise my GPA to at least 3.55 in the Year GPA, I have a 3.73 in my sophomore year, If I will have a 3.7GPA in my senior year which is next year, will the senior GPA counts more than Junior year? can I go to top 30 college?

A rising GPA looks better than a falling one, but only the first term of your senior year will be considered as you will apply to college before you complete your second term. So, no. The senior year will count mathematically less than the junior. It’s hard to say if you can go to a top 30 college with ~3.6 GPA. Really, it’s even hard to say with a 3.9 or even a 4.0. There are many other factors including test scores, a personal statement, and extracurricular activities that round out the application.

Just dropped AP US HISTORY. hope everything will get better then.

AP US History could have increased your weight GPA though…Colleges also look at the rigor of your course load.

Junior year grades are the most important.
