Hey guys I've been thinking about a double major in Computer information Systems with Computer Science, do to guys think this is a good idea? My brother suggested that taking these two would be redundant and I would be better off pairing it with a major like Finance or Economics.

I want to do business, but more to the IT and technology side if you guys get what I'm trying to say.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to your opinions!

I agree with your brother.

Definitely redundant, choose a major that would pair well if you decide to pursue an MBA later

Right I see. Do you have any suggestions?

My advice - put all your efforts into your CIS major and don’t waste your time on another major. You don’t need it. If you are interested in finance or whatever then take a few courses in that area using electives. Skipping a second major will leave you with “free” time that would have been devoted to the extra classes. Use that time wisely to become involved in groups and develop relationships with your professors.
