A Major. Which Major?

Alright, I'm pretty excited. I just transfered into Mays B-School at A&M and their program, overall, is pretty strong. But besides that, it would be best to pick a major within the next 5 weeks when I have to register for some pre-reqs.

Personally, I like working in Financial Markets, but the latter part of my Acct classes covered a brief intro to Finance and it was seriously boring. I am pretty active with my Forex account, not so much with my E-Trade account, but this single reason has not sold me on majoring in Finance. Can anyone tell what your favorite aspects where, doors that were opened up from it or things that you absolutely dreaded?

I am leaning towards Supply Chain and operations management. I don't want to completely live off the work of others...Lol. I'm interested in being apart of a company or firm that actually creates something, anything. With regards to SCM, the same questions I asked for Finance?

I am refering to just the academics part, the work in the classes. Thanks in advance...

B…u…m…p…i…t…

Over and over, which program is better. Yet noone can tell what upper division finance and scm courses are like. I’m really about to lose respect for the business major forum…

I think finance is pretty straightforward. Supply Chain Management on the other hand, seems to be one of the majors that has very little information out there. What little information I have seen has always been positive however, with no negative information, which leads me to believe it has both been beneficial for those who have done it and not been over-saturated, which indicates to me that it is a solid major.

One Last Bump It . . . .
