I understand that people are tired of getting questions like, what should I major in? However, I wanted to discuss two things: supply chain management and your opinions about it (e.g. job outlook, what it really is, etc.) as well as answering a question that is important for me.

First, I come from a faily where almost everyone who went the business route majored in and currently works for a Big 4 accounting firm. Personally, I enjoy accounting but I feel that it's not right for me after having taken financial accounting (I did okay on the first test but bombed the second one really badly).

My relatives would be upset with me if I told them I wanted to do something other then accounting or finance and I don't want to dissappoint them.

I'm thinking about finance but I don't have strong math skills. I can do math but when it comes to the hard core Calculus, I get lost and angry with myself reall easily. I was also looking into SCM because from what I have heard about supply chain and what people do, it seems like a good fit for me.

Basically, here's what I'm looking for:

1.) I want to work with groups and engage with people, not sit in a cubicle all day long.

2.) I want a job where I can be doing different things everyday instead of just following a routine.

3.) I'm a big fan of group projects and I feel most at ease when I have to present ideas and projects to my evaluators.

4.) I'm not going to lie, like others I want to earn money. Maybe not a millionaire but enough to live in a suburban area and have a home.

With this said, is SCM something similar to what I have described or do I have the wrong idea? Any advice?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and reply to my post, it means a lot...
