A million recommendation questions! HELP!!!!

1) Does it look silly if recommendations arrive at the institution before the actual application?

2) Does University of Pennsylvania accept the Common App recommendation forms or does it use its own?

3) I plan on putting these items in the teacher I will give my reccomenders:
Appropriate number of copies of application (I copied both pages of the Common App teacher evaluation and the Schoolyear Report, NOT just the cover pages), one or two excellent papers or tests from their classes, a checklist (w/ due dates). Should I put a resume? What about a letter talking about why I chose them (I plan on discussing this with them in person)?

4) I know this has been debated but which is the better envelope to use - regular or large?

Thanks to all who respond!

I've heard that they don't like folded recommendation papers.

1) No, but you should make sure they linked it with your app correctly.

2) Dunno

3) Sounds good, DEFINITELY remmeber the checklist, highlight ED/EA if applicable with the apps. The resume is optional, and the teacher you chose really should know why you chose him/her.

4) I gave my teacher a large envelope with all the small ones inside. I've never heard that they don't like folded recs and it certainly didn't affect any of my apps.

Stanford doesnt want u to fold
