I moved, starting in '06, from Philly to South Georgia to Atlanta to Dallas to South Georgia to Philly

Colleges

Temple Univ
Univ of the Sciences in Philly
Boston Univ [ED]
Ohio State Univ - Columbus
SUNY Geneseo
Stony Brook Univ
SUNY Oswego
Penn state (but it got screwed over)

i’m not sure if being OOS makes it tougher to get into the SUNY schools but if its like in state I’d say your in at oswego and stony brook and you have a great chance at geneseo. As far as the rest of them I say you have a good chance. If you can write a good essay I’d say your in at BU.

bump and i just visited the CB page for boston; its $60k!!! even with the average 1st year package of 34k i dont think my family can afford to pay for it… Can ED give me more scholarship/grant? so its like i pay 20k and get 40k in scholarship? or should I just RD?

bump it up

cmon people help me and ill help you

If you apply ED your supposed to assume that you can pay full tuition because they don’t have to give you money if you apply ED and get in

cmon ppl its my birthday chance me :(

You will look really good for those schools if you get get your SAT up to a 1900. Already you have great chances.

You can easily calculate your gpa on your own just add all the classes up by the point values 4-3-2-1 and divide by the number of classes you have.

thanks and you can tell me which schools would give me a good financial package??? cuz I might not ED to BU since its very expensive

Try Muhlenberg in Allentown or Lafayette in Easton.

those are look nice but i have never heard of them, are they good for pre-med stuff??

Yes, they both have strong pre-med programs. Though don’t focus on the pre-med program it is more important that they have a strong overall science program. Don’t look at the average financial aid for a school, go onto the schools website and look at the financial aid breakdown. For example most of the schools I am looking at cost around $50,000 and give an average of $30,000-35,000, but for my household income the average is closer to $45,000. Don’t let the average scare you away. Also ED gives the same financial aid at most schools as if you applied RD, because it is calculated by household income/demonstrated need.

are there any schools that outclass those on my list with a strong science program not near philly??

add-on to ^

as in the south or west that i have a solid shot at??

baylor?

Baylor possibly, with all the schools the low number of volunteering hours and lack of ECs freshman/sophomore year will hurt you. Honestly you are looking at very different schools then me (I basically want to school where you don’t/want a small liberal arts school/very competitive school), so I can’t help with too many specific schools, talk to your counselor, they should be able to help you find some more schools.

thanks for your help!

bump! for more chances/ college suggestions/ advice!

btw im going to volunteer thru the school year and gather around 100 hours

You know you want to chance otherwise youll just be somebody that I used to know!

At this point its impossible to get any input because no one reply :(
